Ling is a general psychologist who has over 17 years of clinical experience in mental health and trauma. Ling completed her master’s degree in psychology (Health) at Monash University in 2007. She has extensive experience as a psychologist working in the public sector in community mental health settings, psychiatry research, and the private sector in counselling and psychotherapy.
Ling engages with her clients in a warm and curious way. She believes that connection with her clients is imperative to create safety and acceptance as clients bring forward their struggles and vulnerabilities. She works with clients in a collaborative, client-centred way to help them discover their strengths and understand their barriers to live life in the moment, to experience the ups and downs that life brings, and to have meaningful and healthy relationships.
Ling’s passion lies in supporting adults who have experienced childhood trauma, domestic violence, or sexual assault. Her commitment extends to enhancing emotional well-being and nurturing interpersonal relationships. Drawing from her clinical training and experience with traumatized children, Ling approaches her adult clients—especially parents—with a child-centered lens.
